A Holiday Greeting from Dr. Lex Best of the Holidays to Everyone,
This year we have made some huge strides forward in actualizing our dreams. Our new space is resonating with energy and vitality, which makes coming to work a pleasure. I want to thank all of you who have supported us through this transition with your faith and presence.
The coming year we will be more focused on bringing quality educational opportunities to practitioners and patients in Hampton Roads and around the country.
I sincerely hope you can stop by and have a laser treatment on Saturday and donate to the amazing Women for Women. This relief agency is privately funded and offers direct assistance to mothers in war torn countries with establishing small businesses and accessing medical and financial assistance.
Fun, free movie night the first Saturday of every month will continue with great dialog topics after for enlightenment and growth. Jonathan is even serving popcorn and it’s BYO drink.
Monday night Global Movements is being discontinued and Fractal Flexibility is being introduced Tuesday nights at 5:30.
New services above and beyond our growing array of modalities includes Essential Oils Energy Treatment (EOET) and The Alexander Technique. We are introducing two new practioners, Amy Crocetti
and Sally Johnson, who will be offering EOET and assisting me with laser treatments.
May this holiday season be one of love and peace for all of us,
Janine Lex, DC
This Saturday, December 5

The laser light helps the body heal itself through the following benefits:
Below is just a sample of the new classes and treatment options we will be offering, effective in January!
Essential Oil Energy Treatment (EOET)
(Relax, Relief, Healing)
By appointment. A blend of soothing massage with high grade Young Living essential oils that relaxes, detoxifies and harmonizes the flow of energy through the body. Your massage therapist will add their own unique techniques and style so that each treatment relates to your unique needs.
Fractal Flexibility Class
(Flexibility, Pain Relief, Vitality)
Group classes (we are thinking Tuesday evenings) A fun and unusual exercise class designed to help you release body memory and create extraordinary flexibility and fluidity within the largest tissue system in your body – the connective tissue system.
Unlike muscle, connective tissue is one continuous network from head to toe and is arranged three dimensionally in a “fractal-like” manner. To obtain fractal flexibility and restore fluidity to hardened, armored connective tissue we will perform:
• A full body rolling routine on balls of various sizes and densities.
• Body memory unwinding whereby the body assumes three- dimensional positions on the floor, standing and over props.

Body Memory Discussion Group
(Education, Support, Transformation)
An open forum led by Jonathan Tripodi, author of Freedom from Body Memory – The Courage to Let Go of the Past & Live Creatively. Participants will have the opportunity to share their body memory experiences, learn from other’s experiences and receive formal education from Jonathan on how to best navigate the process of body memory transformation. (Recommended Reading: Freedom from Body Memory available at www.freedomfrombodymemory.com or at Global Healing Therapies.)
We've got a new meditation class - Red Sun Heart Opening Meditation, and a great new film for movie night - "Leap." Be sure to join us for Laser day on the 5th for free education & treatment! December 2009 |

Movie: Leap
This Saturday, December 5th at 5:30![]()
Filmmakers Isaac Allen & Chad Cameron set out to explore the ancient spiritual idea that our world is an illusion. As their journey deepened they were taken on a cosmic adventure to the source of reality itself, and through personal breakthroughs to more love, abundance and creativity than they thought possible. Along the path they made discoveries that will change your life profoundly for the better.
Featuring interviews with many of the greatest visionaries, scientists and authors in the world today. Leap is mind-expanding, heart-opening, and a real treat for the senses. If you’re ready for a movie that’s an actual life-changing event in itself, turn on LEAP! and let your adventure begin.
See all of the upcoming movies.
Eating healthy during the Holidays can be quite a challange. Rather than cut out all indulgences, we like to eat these yummy "healthier" versions of the traditional oatmeal raisin cookie.
4 c. oatmeal
2 c. brown sugar (cut in half if you want, or I prefer a 1/1 ratio of maple syrup and maple sugar.
1 c. melted coconut oil
Combine all in large bowl and let sit over night at room temp (or at least 6 hours).
Preheat oven to 375.
Then add to oatmeal mixture:
2 large eggs, well beaten
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 c. raisins or other dried fruit or chocolate chips
Drop dough by Tbsp 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 8-10 min. These are chewy and adaptable to all sorts of additions such as coconut, nuts, and chopped chocolate. I love to use dried pineapple, coconut and dried cherries.
